Job summary

Ande in New York, NY is seeking a Product Designer to join our growing design team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup and wants ownership across meaningful product areas, including enterprise workflows and AI-powered features.

You'll own end-to-end design from problem framing to launch, collaborate with product, engineering, and operations, and contribute to the design system while exploring innovative AI-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of UX or Product Design experience in B2B or enterprise SaaS.
• Experience shipping real product from concept to launch.
• Strong UX fundamentals and ability to handle ambiguous problems with structure and clarity.
• Ability to clearly explain and defend design decisions to cross‑functional partners.
• Experience designing AI‑powered products is a plus.

About the Role

We're looking for a Product Designer to join our growing design team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment and is excited to grow their ownership and craft across meaningful product areas. This is a hands‑on role for someone who is curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and energized by building, shipping, and iterating.

What You'll Do

• Own the end‑to‑end design for defined features and product areas, from problem framing through execution, launch, and iteration
• Work upstream when needed, helping define what to build and why, not just designing a solution once the problem is handed to you
• Quickly explore and design product ideas, from rough concepts and flows to high‑fidelity UI and interactive prototypes
• Translate complex, AI‑driven, data‑heavy, or workflow‑oriented problems into clear, intuitive user journeys
• Proactively identify UX issues and experience gaps, and bring concrete proposals, written or visual, to the team
• Apply excellent visual design craft (typography, layout, spacing, and color) to produce interfaces that are both beautiful and usable
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations, contributing to roadmap discussions and trade‑off decisions
• Participate in user research and synthesis to better understand enterprise users, real‑world workflows, and operational constraints
• Use and contribute to our design system, prioritizing speed, consistency, and usability
• Actively use AI tools throughout your daily workflow, for writing, research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, and rapid iteration

What We're Looking For

• 2‑4 years of experience in UX or Product Design, ideally within B2B, enterprise SaaS, or complex workflow‑driven products
• Experience contributing to end‑to‑end design initiatives and shipping real product
• Strong UX fundamentals and the ability to work through ambiguous problems with structure and clarity
• Strong visual judgment and taste; you know when something is good enough and when it isn't, and you can articulate why
• The ability to clearly explain and defend your design decisions to cross‑functional partners, connecting them to user needs
• The ability to communicate design thinking beyond pixels; you can write a clear problem statement, annotate a flow, or put together a lightweight brief when the work calls for it
• Experience designing for multi‑step processes or workflow‑driven products
• Growing sense of agency: you take initiative and ask good questions
• Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Claude Code) and comfort working at both strategic and tactical levels
• Interest in designing AI‑powered products and comfort in AI‑native, fast‑feedback environments

Bonus Points

• Experience in a startup or similarly fast‑paced environment
• Experience designing for iOS native mobile
• Experience in travel, expense management, fintech, or adjacent enterprise platforms
• Experience designing AI‑powered or AI‑assisted product experiences
• Regular use of AI tools to support UX work
• Some front‑end literacy or comfort thinking in components and systems
