Fuel50 is a fully remote workforce transformation platform with HQ in New Zealand, spanning five countries. We are seeking a Product Design Lead to shape the next chapter of our product experience and design organization.

This senior player-coach role will develop our product design team while staying close to work, setting direction, prototyping ideas and helping teams ship high-quality experiences. You’ll lead with Product and Engineering as a trio across the org.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product design in a SaaS or technology environment.
• At least 2 years leading, managing or coaching designers.
• Track record of building healthy, high-performing teams.
• Experience designing complex, connected systems and journeys for multiple personas.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and coach our product designers, supporting their growth.
• Set and communicate a clear product design vision across platforms.
• Own design direction; prototype and validate opportunities.
• Influence decisions across the business with a strong point of view.
• Partner with Product and Engineering from discovery to delivery.
• Design human-centered AI experiences with trust and clear handoffs.
• Grow design engineering capability; ship working prototypes or code.
• Evolve design system and accessibility standards across products.
