Job summary

TikTok in San Jose is seeking a design intern to contribute to the UED Monetization team. You will gain hands-on experience by collaborating with design, product, and marketing to understand users and craft usable, scalable interfaces.

You will design end-to-end for internal tools, create prototypes, and communicate requirements with engineers. This 12-week full-time internship offers exposure to real-world challenges and opportunities to grow in a fast-paced tech environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate in HCI or a related design discipline.
• Experienced in designing and shipping end-to-end products.
• Ability to provide design variations and rationalize design choices.
• Must be able to commit to a 12-week full-time work period during Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end design of internal tools and platforms that enable TikTok global employees to accomplish their goals efficiently and productively.
• Own every aspect of a product's design, from solving the core user challenge to shipping a well-tested and pixel-perfect UI.
• Create and test rough prototypes early in the design process to create confidence in a solution.
• Design high-fidelity UI and UX specs to clearly communicate requirements to your team's engineers.
