Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into clear, actionable product requirements. Partner with business and product stakeholders to clarify objectives, scope, and success criteria; develop PRDs; and align cross-functional teams and engineering on requirements, dependencies, and delivery milestones to keep execution on track.
• Support product planning and execution for ads integration and plugins capabilities across APIs, SDKs, developer tooling, documentation, sandbox environments, debugging workflows, and overall developer experience.
• Partner closely with engineering to help design and launch developer-facing product improvements, including API capabilities, authentication flows, schemas, validation systems, testing tools, observability, and integration support infrastructure.
• Learn and synthesize the needs of developers, technology partners, agencies, advertisers, and internal teams; help translate those needs into clear product requirements and prioritized opportunities.
• Assist with product discovery and analysis across external partners and internal stakeholders, including workflow research, competitive analysis, technical feasibility assessment, and feedback synthesis.
• Collaborate with partner-facing teams to identify integration pain points, product gaps, adoption blockers, and opportunities to make TikTok’s platform easier and more reliable for developers and partners to use.
• Help define and track success metrics for developer platform products, including API adoption, integration quality, developer satisfaction, documentation quality, tooling usage, and partner impact.
• Work across TikTok’s API surfaces, including Marketing APIs, Organic APIs, Business Messaging APIs, and emerging automation-oriented or AI-enabled platform capabilities.
• Support cross-functional alignment on scoped product priorities, user needs, implementation tradeoffs, and launch readiness.
• Create clear product documents, requirements, analyses, and internal enablement materials to support team alignment and execution.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• Academic background in computer science or related fields, with technical experience or project work preferred.
• Interest in product management, developer platforms, APIs, SDKs, integrations, automation products, or workflow systems, demonstrated through coursework, projects, research, or prior internship experience.
• Strong technical aptitude and comfort learning about APIs, authentication, request/response structures, integration patterns, developer workflows, and system interactions.
• Ability to break down ambiguous user, partner, or business needs into structured problem statements, product ideas, and actionable next steps.
• Able to intern for 3 months or longer; candidates available to work 5 days a week are preferred.
• Must be able to commit to a 12-week full-time work period during winter.

Job Information

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $35- $55.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
