Job summary

Nominal is seeking design-focused students graduating in 2028 for a Summer 2027 internship, with potential full-time options after graduation. You will work with designers, engineers, and product partners on projects that address real customer needs and gain experience in research, prototyping, and detailed design with mentorship.

A portfolio demonstrating visual design fundamentals and thoughtful problem-solving is required, and familiarity with design and prototyping tools to communicate ideas

Qualifications

• Portfolio showing visual design fundamentals and problem-solving abilities.
• Curious about unfamiliar technical problems and able to ask questions to understand user workflows.
• Ability to communicate ideas through flows, layouts, and interactive concepts using design tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with designers, engineers, and product partners on scoped projects addressing real customer needs.
• Learn from real users by observing workflows and gathering insights to improve the product.
• Research, prototype with AI, and contribute to product improvements and features.
• Take a scoped design project from exploration to detailed design with mentorship.
• Contribute to the design system by applying patterns and improving components and documentation.
