Job summary

FIS is seeking a Product Design Designer II to shape banking experiences for millions of users. This role sits in our Design+ team, focusing on new finance experiences, redesigns of SaaS products, and contributing to the FIS design system.

You will collaborate with senior designers, conduct user research, and prototype with Figma, while partnering with engineers to ensure feasible, high-fidelity solutions in a dynamic fintech setting.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a product design role (internships or freelance work accepted).
• Understanding of design principles, user-centered design, and usability best practices.
• Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong storytelling skills and ability to align business, research, and product goals.
• Portfolio showing relevant design thinking and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior designers to create engaging product experiences from concept to execution.
• Participate in user research, brainstorms, and feedback reviews to improve designs.
• Own specific experiences from conception to development within financial products.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using design tools like Figma.
• Translate research findings into user journeys and identify pain points and solutions.
• Work with engineering to ensure designs are feasible and unblock blockers.
• Communicate working plans and manage expectations with cross-functional partners.
• Contribute to design critiques to raise quality and fidelity across the team.
