Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies in Cupertino, CA seeks a Contract Product Design FEA Engineer to drive predictive system-level finite element simulations and influence the design of new products. You will set up and run system FEA, post-process results, and present findings to Product Design Engineers while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to iterate and improve designs.

Requires MS in Mechanical Engineering or Applied Mechanics with 3+ years of relevant experience and deep experience

Qualifications

Contract Product Design FEA Engineer

Job Duration: 3+ Months. Job Location: Cupertino, CA.

Job Summary

As a Contract Product Design FEA Engineer, you will use understanding of mechanics, materials and numerical methods to play a key role in predictive engineering and directly impact the success of new Company products. You will drive the structural design of our new products using predictive system level finite element simulation: That will include participating in building and running system level models for important design load cases and interacting closely with the cross functional design teams to iterate and improve our designs.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and running simple to complex system FEA simulations.
• Post-processing large amounts of simulations.
• Summarizing and presenting FEA simulation results to Product Design Engineers.
• Providing recommendations for design improvements and iterating on the design quickly & collaboratively.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with the mechanical behavior of materials and constitutive modeling.
• PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Material Science, or similar discipline.
