Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a privately owned, growing manufacturerthat is looking for a Product Design Engineer to support new product development from concept through production.

This is a strong fit for a hands‑on mechanical design engineer with proven experience designing sheet metal parts, plastic injection molded parts, formed components, and manufacturable products.

The company is stable, growth‑focused, and financially strong, with no debt and an all‑cash business model. This role is open because of company growth, and you’ll work directly with leadership and alongside an experienced product engineer who has been with the company for 15+ years.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design mechanical products from concept through production using SolidWorks.
• Create 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and release documentation.
• Design parts and assemblies involving sheet metal, plastic injection molding, formed parts, and manufactured components.
• Apply DFM and DFA principles to make products easier, faster, and more cost‑effective to manufacture.
• Support prototyping, testing, validation, and design improvements.
• Perform basic engineering analysis, including FEA, tolerance stack‑ups, stress checks, and thermal assessments.
• Work with Manufacturing, Quality, Suppliers, and Product Management to solve design and production issues.
