Job summary

Mohr Talent is seeking a Product Design Engineer for sheet metal and plastics in Sherwood, AR. 100% onsite, direct hire, salary $105k-$120k plus bonus.

You will design with SolidWorks, create 3D models, BOMs, and release documentation, and apply DFM/DFA to ensure manufacturability. You will collaborate across functions to solve design and production issues and drive ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical design experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient with SolidWorks for product design.
• Experience creating finished drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical products from concept through production using SolidWorks.
• Create 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and release documentation.
• Design parts and assemblies involving sheet metal and plastic injection molding.
• Apply DFM and DFA to improve manufacturability and cost.
• Support prototyping, testing, and design validation.
• Perform basic engineering analysis including tolerance checks and thermal assessments.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Suppliers, and Product Management.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce cost and lead times.
