Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a product design engineer to advance the next generation of mobile devices. You will design tight-tolerance parts for prototypes, develop test setups, and work with Asia vendors and internal Apple teams to drive validation and fixes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years mechanical design experience across multiple fabrication processes.
• 3+ years consumer electronics design experience with large multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer, mechanics of materials, and precision fabrication.
• Knowledge of tight-tolerance fabrication and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience with DFM, DFA and statistical tolerance techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design tight-tolerance components for prototype systems.
• Develop test infrastructure and characterize components and assembly processes.
• Lead projects and coordinate with vendors in Asia and internal teams.
• Build prototypes for design validation and drive failure analysis.
