Job summary

Southern States LLC in Georgia is seeking a Product Design Engineer II to learn and apply drafting and production processes while working under the supervision of an experienced engineer. The role includes standard computations, analysis and 3D CAD design work.

You will design, model, and document components, create samples and support manufacturing with technical expertise, while developing skills through engineering training procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Two to seven years of related work experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks.

The Product Design Engineer II is a mid-level engineering position. In this role the engineer will learn and apply SSL Drafting and Production processes while working under the supervision of an experienced engineer. The work will include standard computations, analysis, and 3D CAD design work.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience: Two to seven years of related work experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks
• Stronghands-on mechanical aptitude
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• High Voltage Switch experience
• Southern States Co-Op or Intern experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in FEA computer analysis
