Job summary

Deringer Ney is seeking a Product Design Engineer to join the Product Design Team in Bloomfield, CT. This role serves as a technical liaison with customers, the sales department, and manufacturing to translate requirements into manufacturable products from concept through final design and manufacture.

The engineer will develop product concept models and final drawings for tooling, work with multiple engineering teams to quote parts, and contribute to prototype and production release activities

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year engineering degree and 3–5 years’ related experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Creo CAD and knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Meet with sales and customers to understand product requirements and goals.
• Collaborate with research and manufacturing to ensure producibility.
• Apply analyses to determine performance characteristics.
• Develop concept models and final design drawings for tooling.
• Quote prototype or production parts with other engineering teams.
• Contribute to prototype and release to production with process development and testing.
