Job summary

John Deere in Augusta, GA is seeking a Product Design Engineer to join the Southeast Engineering Center. You will shape next-generation Compact Utility Tractors and lead design initiatives from concept through production.

This onsite role requires PDP/CI experience, strong cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on Creo, Windchill, and SAP expertise. You will influence product direction, work with suppliers and manufacturing, and deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in product design, development, or engineering.
• Experience executing Product Delivery Process (PDP) and/or Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using Creo for 3D modeling and design.
• Working knowledge of Windchill and SAP.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, design, and integration of critical vehicle systems and components for Compact Utility Tractors.
• Drive product development through the PDP, ensuring quality, performance, cost, and timing objectives are achieved.
• Take a hands-on approach for research and development collaborating with Product Lab Test, Field Test, & Prototype Shop.
• Influence future product direction through innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-focused engineering solutions.
• Lead conversations with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, marketing and customer support teams to improve product performance and reliability.
