Job summary

New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB) designs bearing assemblies and components to fit customer applications, collaborating with sales, customers, and vendors to generate drawings and specifications that ensure products meet requirements.

Responsibilities include developing specifications, evaluating production capabilities, and mentoring team members while upholding safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Design Engineering or closely related field.
• Proficient with SolidWorks, CAD, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with customers and stakeholders to develop specifications and designs to meet customer requirements, considering production capabilities and long-term strategies for both the customer and NHBB.
• Provide internal expertise and support regarding all manufacturing, quality, sales, and production control activities involved with successfully delivering product to meet all aspects of the customer's needs.
• Investigates and analyzes new materials, equipment, and engineering practices. Reviews drawings to assess alternative techniques for production and make recommendations to improve cost and quality.
• Supports projects by preparing data, drawings, or presentations to communicate information in a professional and organized fashion. Mentors new team members as assigned to improve the overall capabilities of the department.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to provide Engineering recommendations and share best practices. Maintains an understanding of industry standards and trends to improve processes within primary work area.
• Ensures compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations, keeping an organized work area and reporting concerns to leadership or the Safety team.
