Exco Electric is seeking a Product Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and manufacturing launch of innovative products. You will create production-ready solutions using SolidWorks, GD&T, and cross-functional collaboration with suppliers, manufacturing, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities include designing mechanical products, creating 3D models and drawings, performing FEA analyses, maintaining BOMs and PLM documentation, and supporting NPI and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawing creation.
• Experience with GD&T and manufacturing print interpretation.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturability principles.
• Experience creating and managing BOMs and engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

• Drive value engineering initiatives to reduce costs and improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Support new product introductions and continuous improvement efforts throughout the product lifecycle.

Job Requirements

Essential Job Function

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks Simulation or similar tools.
• Experience working with suppliers, sourcing teams, and contract manufacturers.
• Familiarity with PLM systems and product lifecycle management processes.
• Background in industrial, consumer, or high-volume manufactured products.
• Experience with value engineering and cost-reduction projects.
