Job Description

This part-time associate samples products for suppliers within a Sam’s Club location. Product Demonstrators introduce customers to new and exciting items and brands through product tasting events, sampling, or demonstrations. Customer service, food handling, bartending, serving, cashiering, stocking, or experience as a demonstrator, brand ambassador, or brand advocate is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Engaging customers to communicate key points about products.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety requirements while preparing samples (cooking, processing, plating, serving).
• Working with the team to achieve sales goals for the products.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age (18+ for alcohol and production roles).
• Availability on weekends (Friday-Sunday) preferred; holidays and weekdays also available.
• Reliable access to a smartphone or tablet on work days.
• Ability to safely use appliances such as microwave, toaster oven, hot plate.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the event.
• Open to applicants without a high school or college degree, with no experience, returning to the workforce, or military experience. Comprehensive online and/or on-the-job training will be provided.

Work Environment

Moderate to high noise levels typical of a retail grocery warehouse. Some exposure to cold, refrigerated conditions, food products, and cleaning chemicals.
