Position Overview

The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. The Associate acquires and maintains knowledge of products represented, prepares, serves, and breaks down product, equipment, and supplies, intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner, and maintains an overall professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.

Maximum work hours: Not expected to exceed 25 hours per week. However, company may change role based on business or client needs.

Responsibilities

Possesses the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
Proactively intercepts, engages, interacts with, and sells product to consumers in a positive manner.
Effectively communicates product features and benefits.
Prepares and serves food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
Maintains a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
Maintains a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
Properly sets up and prepares event table for execution.
Achieves 100% execution on assigned work.
Assists with preparation for client visits and completes audit corrections.
Builds and maintains rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
Completes expense reports as per company policy.
Accurately prepares and submits all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
Accesses the internet, navigates company electronic systems, uses Microsoft Outlook, and views assigned documents such as Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms.

Job Expectations

This role is not expected to exceed 25 hours per week, but the company may retain discretion to change the role based on business and/or client needs.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: High school diploma, GED, or 1–3 months related experience or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills: Proficient in using personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.
Physical Demands: Stand and walk during shift; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach overhead up to 65 inches; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop, kneel, squat; climb or step up ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50); push/pull wheeled demonstration cart loaded with appliances, supplies and product; prepare foods and beverages using required appliances (cooking utensils, knives, convection oven, coffee maker, electric fryer, microwaves); be in contact with cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.
Physical Appearance: Maintain professional appearance and proper grooming; meet retailer dress code.
Language Skills: English primary; bilingual may be required based on business necessity.
