Job summary

GCG is seeking a Product Data Management Specialist to join our Connectivity & Power solutions product management team. You will maintain and improve product master data across ERP, CRM, and related platforms, handling part numbers, categories, descriptions, cross‑references, approved vendors, units of measure, and other critical attributes.

This role emphasizes data governance, accuracy, and collaboration with Sales, IT, Marketing, Purchasing, and Finance.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience with data quality, master data, or related data maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail to identify inconsistencies and gaps within large sets of product or business data.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for organizing, analyzing, and validating data.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL and Power BI.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and an interest in using technology to improve data management, analysis, or business processes.
• Ability to investigate data abnormalities, identify their underlying cause, and work toward an effective resolution.
• Ability to maintain accurate information across multiple interconnected business systems.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, including the ability to balance routine data requests with larger projects and changing business priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across technical and non-technical functions.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, develop practical solutions, and follow work through to completion.
• Collaborative approach and demonstrated ability to build productive working relationships across multiple departments.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where processes, systems, and business needs may continue to evolve.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve product master data across ERP, CRM, and related systems.
• Create and maintain new product and part-number records with complete data.
• Review data for accuracy, identify gaps, and implement corrections.
• Run data quality checks and audits to catch duplicates and inconsistencies.
• Own day-to-day product data requests and ensure accessible information for Sales.
• Support NPI initiatives by coordinating data collection and setup across systems.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to complete updates on time.
• Work with IT to define data structures and ensure consistency across systems.
• Help implement product data governance policies and standards.
• Contribute ideas to improve data processes and system usability.
• Assist with data cleanup, standardization, and cross-functional projects.
• Review data changes that affect multiple systems.
• Use Excel and other tools to analyze large datasets and support reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
