Job Summary

Under the guidance of the Product Data Operations Manager, the Product Data Specialist is responsible for gathering and analyzing data, ensuring media accuracy and completeness, and upholding HellermannTyton's standards for data integrity. This position will work with numerous departments, such as Product Management, Marketing/Communications, Engineering, and Sales, to ensure accurate and up-to-date data and data-related processes within our multidomain master data management system, Stibo Systems’ STEP. The Product Data Specialist will ensure that all data, images, and additional website content are up to date.

Essential Functions:

  • Support product data development efforts to maintain publishing elements such as copy, images, drawings, tables, and miscellaneous data used on websites, literature, and other marketing materials
  • Collaborate with internal resources in Product Management, Marketing/Communications, Engineering, and Sales, as well as resources abroad in Digital Marketing and PIM Publishing
  • Serve as a data integrity advocate for North American parts’ data
  • Ensure product information is up-to-date, accurate, and is captured in a consistent manner across product lines across databases
  • Import and export information from Stibo STEP system as required
  • Obtain information from other systems, such as our ERP, as required
  • Complete miscellaneous changes to existing product data
  • Submit distributor data templates with precision and timeliness
  • Enhance and optimize data quality and quantity in collaboration with our distributors

Other Functions

  • Coordinate the submittal of parts for photography
  • Collaborate with Product Management to define category attribute standards
  • Assist in publication creation and development
  • Support website integrations using STEP
  • Aid in the automation of labels through data enrichment and process development
  • Special marketing projects as assigned

Success in this role will require

  • Ability and willingness to learn Stibo's STEP application, along with prevailing data governance policies
  • Proficiency in multi-tasking and prioritization in order to meet a dynamic and changing workplace
  • Strength to meet deadlines (sense of urgency)
  • Capacity for effectively serving internal and external customers
  • Ability to work with multiple marketing functions and personalities to achieve desired results
  • Constructive persistence
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Inquisitiveness to learn all aspects of marketing functions, as well as key corporate, market, and product value propositions
  • Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to improve and execute a project management system which allows for visibility for team members and execution to timelines.
  • Knowledge of print and web production basics, in order to better drive process improvements using the STEP system

What You’ll Bring

  • BA/BS from an accredited four-year college
  • Minimum of one year of writing experience through work or internship preferred
  • High level of data and software systems aptitude
  • Exceptional knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
