Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Data Scientist in San Jose to join the Product Data Analytics Team. You will analyze product usage and performance data, build models (LTV/ROI), design experiments, and translate insights into actions for product growth and business impact.

You will work with product managers, engineers, and other analysts to identify root causes, monitor core metrics, and guide the product team through data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Statistics, OR, CS, Economics).
• 2+ years of experience in statistical modeling and machine learning.
• Ability to conduct rigorous analysis and communicate conclusions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python/R

Responsibilities

• Leverage data to solve challenging business problems from product and business lines.
• Build and improve statistical models (e.g. LTV, ROI) to guide growth decisions.
• Design, run, and analyze A/B experiments to inform product strategy.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Engineering and cross-functional teams.
