Job summary

Mirage is hiring two Product Data Scientists for Captions to ground decisions in measurable metrics. One embeds with the iOS team and the other with the web team, working closely with Product, Design, Engineering and Data Engineering.

You’ll define success, evaluate experiments, investigate user behavior, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations. You’ll also build AI-enabled tooling to accelerate data science workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a behavioral or quantitative field or equivalent
• 3+ years in product analytics or product data science
• Fluency with SQL and Python or R
• Experience in experimental design and causal inference
• Ability to translate analyses into actionable recommendations
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical partners

Responsibilities

• Embed with either the iOS or web team from planning through launch, defining hypotheses, success criteria, core metrics, and measurement approaches.
• Lead analysis to uncover patterns in product and user behavior, prioritize opportunities, recommend actions, and measure impact.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests and other product measurements, setting guardrails and turning results into decisions.
• Create executive-ready visualizations, dashboards, experiment readouts, and decision memos that drive alignment.
• Build machine learning and statistical models to solve core user problems and deliver measurable impact.
• Design AI-native tools, systems, and automated workflows that accelerate data science and analytics.
