Job summary

Morningstar is seeking a Business Data Analyst to bring analytical rigor to its product efforts across Morningstar Investor and Morningstar.com. You will measure performance, analyze visitor behavior, and help optimize acquisition and retention while partnering with engineering to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.

You will own data analytics architecture, dashboards, forecasting models, and KPIs, building automated reporting from sources like Google Analytics, Redshift, Stripe, and AWS,

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence.
• Strong SQL querying skills across large datasets.
• Proficiency with Google Marketing Platform and data visualization tools.
• Experience with AWS data services and data integration.
• Analytical thinking with financial modeling and forecasting experience.

Responsibilities

• Track and analyze KPIs across Morningstar Investor and Morningstar.com.
• Build dashboards and automated reporting from sources like Google Analytics, Redshift, Stripe, and AWS.
• Collaborate with engineering to surface and analyze insights.
• Define targets and use data to optimize acquisition and retention.
• Perform cohort analysis and LTV modeling to inform decisions.
• Develop financial forecasting models for revenue and subscription trends.
