Qualifications

• 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience.
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent.
• Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive).
• Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities.
• Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Advise on the legal and compliance framework for AI-assisted coding tools, counsel teams on data governance, advise on IP and open-source strategy, and provide legal guidance on security-related product incidents.
• Serve as an attorney supporting Amazon’s internal developer experience organization and the AWS developer tools organization.
• Conduct meetings with client teams to discuss developer offerings and review contracts with business leads.
• Develop strategy documents for novel legal issues impacting AWS and attend meetings with business leaders to review projects.
