Job summary

Intellectt Inc. is seeking a Cost Engineer with 7–10 years of experience to develop should-cost models and drive design-to-cost initiatives. You will support Engineering and Procurement by analyzing costs, benchmarking, and presenting savings opportunities.

The role focuses on manufacturing cost optimization, BOM interpretation, and supplier cost reporting, leveraging CAD-based analyses to target cost reductions.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in product costing and should-cost analysis.
• Experience applying DFM/DFA and VA/VE to reduce costs.
• Proficiency with CAD-based cost modeling and BOM interpretation.
• Experience with supplier cost analyses and cost reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop should-cost models and cost targets for mechanical and electrical components.
• Apply DFM/DFA and VA/VE methodologies to optimize product costs.
• Perform cost analysis using CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and schematics.
• Conduct benchmarking, teardown studies, and supplier cost analysis.
• Support supplier negotiations with detailed cost reports.
• Track product costs and present savings opportunities to management.
