Job summary

Komatsu Peoria is seeking a Product Cost Analyst to support product costing, cost analysis, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance to understand cost drivers and inform business decisions.

The role focuses on developing cost information, supporting new product development, and tracking cost savings initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in ERP data and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 0-2 years in manufacturing, engineering, product support, continuous improvement, cost analysis, or a related field. Internship, co-op, and project experience will be considered.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to interpret technical information and analyze data; strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain product cost models including material, labor, overhead, freight, and supplier costs.
• Create costed Bills of Material (BOMs) and manufacturing routings, and support cost estimates for new products.
• Analyze cost data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks; prepare management reports.
• Support cost reduction and value engineering initiatives; track savings and cross-functional cost analysis.
