Nationwide is seeking a Product Consultant in Columbus, OH to lead the initiation, development and maintenance of products focused on design, profitability and growth. You will collaborate with Product Directors to forecast needs and guide initiatives while delivering innovative solutions for customers.
The role requires an undergraduate degree and insurance designations are preferred, with strong analytical and communication skills to drive results and profitability across the portfolio.

As a Product Consultant, you'll lead the initiation, development and maintenance of products with respect to design, profitability and growth. We'll count on you to collect information and make recommendations regarding overall corporate objectives and field operations and staff services.
Reports to Director or Associate Vice President.
Education: Undergraduate degree or graduate studies preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: Insurance licenses or industry designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM, CLU, FLMI, ChFC, CFP, NASD, etc.) preferred.
Experience: Typically, eight years of related experience in a related industry, including insurance, financial services, marketing, communications.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Demonstrated strategic decision making. Proficiency in the use of analytic tools, retirement plans pricing, and products. Ability to drive for results, navigate ambiguity, and to understand strategic objectives. Ability to lead high profile projects. Ability to creatively present ideas in written form and through presentations. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.

Working conditions: Normal office environment. Extended work hours may be required based on workload. May require moderate to frequent travel.

Nationwide pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement within the actual starting salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment.
If a Sales job, Sales Incentives, based on performance goals are possible in addition to this range.
Please be aware that the salary ranges listed below reflect full-time compensation. Actual compensation may be prorated based on the number of hours worked relative to a full-time schedule.
The national salary range for Product Consultant : $87,000.00-$162,000.00
The expected starting salary range for Product Consultant : $87,000.00 - $131,000.00
