The Annuity Experience Team seeks to define the goal state experiences across our partner and member lifecycle by understanding their needs & expectations when working with Nationwide. We translate that into a vision and roadmap for the future, drive planning activities, sponsor execution, drive desired benefits and measure progress towards the goal state.
This specific role will initially focus on supporting the new business experience for financial professionals (and may evolve beyond over time). Key responsibilities include:

The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of the following location(s):
Columbus: One/Three Nationwide Plaza, Columbus OH, 43215
This role requires a hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office (Tues, Wed, Thurs), 2 days remote (Mon, Fri)
This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program.

As a Consultant, you'll lead the initiation, development, and maintenance of products with respect to design, profitability, and growth. We'll count on you to collect information and make recommendations regarding overall corporate objectives, field operations and staff services.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director or Officer
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, marketing, or related field preferred. Graduate degree desired.
License/Certification/Designation: Industry designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM, CLU, FLMI, ChFC, CFP, NASD, etc.) preferred.
Experience: Typically, eight years of relevant experience in a related industry.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Demonstrated strategic decision making. Proficiency in the use of analytic tools, plans pricing and products. Ability to drive for results, navigate ambiguity and to understand strategic objectives. Ability to lead high profile projects. Ability to creatively present ideas in written form and through presentations. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.

Nationwide pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement within the actual starting salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. If a Sales job, Sales Incentives, based on performance goals are possible in addition to this range. Note on Compensation for Part-Time Roles: Please be aware that the salary ranges listed below reflect full-time compensation. Actual compensation may be prorated based on the number of hours worked relative to a full-time schedule.The national salary range for Consultant, Product - Financial Services : $108,000.00-$200,000.00The expected starting salary range for Consultant, Product - Financial Services : $108,000.00 - $162,000.00
