Job summary

SMITHS TUBULAR SYSTEMS - LACONIA is seeking an engineer to interpret customer requirements and develop design solutions through engineering analysis, product capability, manufacturing knowledge, and rigorous processes.

You will collaborate with internal teams to pursue new business opportunities, execute engineering release tasks, review calculations and drawings for accuracy, support continuous improvement, and communicate effectively with customers and suppliers throughout the product life

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively works with internal teams to pursue new business opportunities; knowledgeable in product application and configuration, design solutions, tooling, and cost estimates.
• Execute technical tasks in the engineering release process including requirements management, product configuration, test protocol, technical documentation, and contract review deliverables.
• Interacts with internal and external customers to address and resolve part configuration, change management, and change implementation throughout the product life cycle.
• Reviews and checks engineering calculations, design models, drawings, and design documents for content, errors, notes, accuracy, functionality, and completion.
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives and completion of implementation activities.

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
