Powerus is seeking a Product Compliance Engineer in Rock Hill, SC to lead regulatory and customer compliance for handheld controllers and aircraft. You will define requirements, plan FCC and radio certifications, and coordinate EMC and environmental testing with accredited labs.

Qualifikationen

Position Overview

Powerus is seeking a Product Compliance Engineer to manage radio, EMC, safety, and environmental compliance and certification for Powerus handheld controllers and aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

• Define regulatory and customer compliance requirements for each product
• Plan and manage FCC equipment authorization and other radio certifications
• Plan and execute EMC testing to FCC Part 15 and MIL-STD-461
• Plan and execute environmental testing to MIL-STD-810, including drop, vibration, temperature, and ingress
• Manage battery transport and safety requirements, including UN 38.3
• Run pre-compliance testing and work with design engineers to resolve failures
• Manage test laboratories and certification bodies
• Maintain compliance documentation and test reports

Qualifications

• Must be located in the United States, within commuting distance of Rock Hill, SC
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience managing product certification for electronic or radio products
• Working knowledge of FCC Part 15 and EMC test methods
• Experience with environmental testing
• Experience working with accredited test laboratories
• U.S. Person status required (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)); this role involves access to ITAR- and EAR-controlled technical data

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-810
• Experience with FCC Part 90 or other licensed radio services
• Experience with NTIA or government spectrum authorization
• Experience with UN 38.3 lithium battery certification
• Active or prior U.S. security clearance
