Job description

Join the Husqvarna Construction team in Olathe, KS as a Product Assembler and play a vital role in crafting high-quality cutting and sawing equipment, including tools for concrete, tile, masonry, metal, and more. You'll assemble parts into finished products, ensuring exceptional quality and reliability.

Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly Tasks

  • Assemble various components using blueprints, hand tools, and pneumatic tools, performing tasks like wiring, bolting, aligning, and torquing.
  • Pre-assemble parts such as engines, water pumps, transmissions, and blade guards.
  • Ensure precise fit and finish, applying decals and paint touch-ups as needed.

Quality Control

  • Test finished equipment to confirm proper functionality.
  • Complete inspection checklists and notify supervisors for final approval.
  • Prepare products for shipment, including crating, boxing, and adding necessary materials.

Maintenance & Safety

  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and report tool repair needs.
  • Suggest improvements to processes and specifications.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 1–2 years in mechanical assembly, with a background in automotive or engine repair a plus.
  • Skills: Proficiency with hand tools, the ability to read blueprints and follow instructions, and a mechanical aptitude.
  • Physical Abilities: Capable of standing for long periods and using pneumatic tools with short-duration vibrations.
  • Traits: Detail-oriented, accurate, and eager to learn specialized processes like electrical wiring.
