Caterpillar Inc. in Waco, TX is seeking an Assembler to join our team. You will assemble large parts and subassemblies, using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, while following safety and quality guidelines.

Responsibilities include assembling components per drawings, inspecting for defects, and reporting maintenance concerns. The role requires basic computer skills and a willingness to learn forklift operation — with a 1st shift and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be capable and willing to learn the operation and basic care of mobile equipment such as forklifts.

What you can expect:

As an Assembler you can expect to assemble large and heavy parts to complete units or subassemblies on machines. You will use hand tools, small power tools, and other special equipment/ tooling on a regular basis. Reassembles or reworks units as required. Assemblers report defects and need for repairs on mobile equipment by following safety check procedures as needed. Perform daily housekeeping functions as required. Ability to follow safety procedures, Standard Work Instructions and work in a safe manner.

Summary Pay Range:

$18.90 -$24.60

What You Will Do:

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods

Basic Qualifications:

• 6 months of work experience

• Basic computer experience is required

• Must be capable and willing to learn the operation and basic care of mobile equipment such as forklifts

Top candidates will also have:

• Parts/Product Assembly Manufacturing experience

• Mechanical ability

• Heavy equipment manufacturing experience

• Overhead hoists and/or crane experience

• Torque tool experience

• Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/Knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) of Standard Assembly Tools and their applications

• Intermediate proficiency with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work

• Flexible mindset

• Previous forklift experience

Additional Information:

Shift & Hours: 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:00 PM. Employees must be able to work mandatory overtime on Fridays when required to meet business demands.

Starting Rate: $19.59

Location: Waco, TX with the BHLN Group (Backhoe Loader Node)

No relocation assistance is available for this position. Includes a comprehensive full-time benefit package. Must be able to work mandatory overtime on Fridays as needed to support business needs.
