Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or product design field and 5+ years in consumer product development.
• Strong academic record: GPA 3.0+ typically expected.
• Track record of designing/disruptive technology or successful consumer products.
• Must be passionate, hands-on, and proactive.
• Diverse background: electrical, software, web, mobile, industrial design, or rapid prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Create inspiration sources and idea streams to identify new market opportunities.
• Research and analyze credible sources for technology, design and consumer trends.
• Identify associates passionate about unmet needs and explore new markets.
• Discover unmet customer needs by attending industry conferences and surveys; communicate product vision and design rationale.
• Create prototypes and interaction specifications for new concepts.
• Develop and share market, customer and competitive analyses as inputs to product design.
• Work with Engineering, Sales and Marketing to develop initial product roadmaps for new markets.
