Job summary

Leviat, a global leader in construction technology, seeks a Product Application Engineer to support North America product lines. You will provide technical assistance, perform design support, and promote product specifications to the design community.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will interact with contractors, engineers and architects, perform structural calculations, review peers' work, and mentor junior engineers while advancing product development and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• Structural engineering background and industry experience strongly preferred.
• Professional certification as an Engineer in Training required
• Progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure strongly preferred.
• PE licensure highly valued.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the field of structural engineering as it relates to steel, cast-in-place concrete, precast or tilt-up construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Ability to perform structural design according to applicable codes & standards
• Ability to use AutoCAD, Mathcad and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Self-starter, motivated and able to take initiative, with ability to start and finish tasks on time
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work closely with others
• Growth mindset with constant pursuit to learn and grow within role

Responsibilities

• Interact and collaborate with contractors, engineers, architects and other professionals to investigate and resolve engineering related issues
• Manage time to meet requested due dates and respond to customers with a reasonable timeframe
• Perform structural engineering calculations as it relates to Leviat products to assist customers with specifying and using our products
• Review and validate engineering calculations prepared by less experienced team members
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced engineers
• Assist with product development, testing, and technical documentation
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Provide internal and external presentations to assist with promoting Leviat Products
• Collaborate and effectively communicate with team members to complete projects
