Job summary

ContiTech USA, Inc. in Auburn, Indiana seeks a Product and Process Industrialization Intern to support continuous improvement in the plant.

You will gain hands-on experience in product and process industrialization, data analytics, problem-solving, and quality systems to boost productivity and reduce waste. The role collaborates with quality, operations, and engineering teams, collecting data, conducting audits, and documenting SOPs, control plans, and work instructions.

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Quality, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field at an accredited college or university.
• Must be located with access to work onsite at the Auburn, Indiana plant; relocation and housing assistance is not available.
• Must be able to start immediately (November 2026).
• Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and root-cause problem-solving tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, analyzing, and reporting process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in root‑cause investigations using continuous improvement tools.
• Support PPI projects focused on reducing variation, improving workflow efficiency, and strengthening overall operational performance.
• Help maintain documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and control plans.
• Conduct audits on processes, work areas, or documentation to ensure compliance with standards.
• Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to validate corrective and preventive actions.

Position Overview
The Product and Process Industrialization Intern will support continuous improvement (PPI) activities within the manufacturing plant. This role involves hands‑on experience in product and process industrialization, data analytics, problem‑solving, and quality systems while contributing to initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure product conformity.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, analyzing, and reporting process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in root‑cause investigations using continuous improvement tools.
• Support PPI projects focused on reducing variation, improving workflow efficiency, and strengthening overall operational performance.
• Help maintain documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and control plans.
• Conduct audits on processes, work areas, or documentation to ensure compliance with standards.
• Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to validate corrective and preventive actions.
