Position Compensation Range

Position Compensation Range: $69,000.00 - $115,000.00


Pay Rate Type: Salary. Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.


Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.


Work Arrangement and Internal Candidates

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Hopkins, MN 55305; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034.

Depending on the candidate pool, this position may be filled at a lower level to maintain alignment with experience and qualifications.

Primary Accountabilities


  • You will provide analysis, insights, and recommendations to leadership/management that will affect profit and growth plan execution on an ongoing basis, including recurring product monitoring and state or program reviews.

  • You will develop reports and analyses and recommend strategies related to product development or enhancement, product language, underwriting guidelines, processes, and channel-specific business practices.

  • You will analyze information, identify root causes, and present opportunities to improve product or business practices and procedures.

  • You will monitor effectiveness of current products and recommend changes and/or enhancements to management based on performance, customer, market, and competitive results.

  • You will analyze information and data to help formulate and execute operational plans; independently manage routine analysis and partner with others on more complex work.

  • You may specialize in supporting pricing activities related to rate reviews, profit and loss ratio-based reviews, experience rating programs, post-implementation monitoring, or product and underwriting actions.

  • You will research philosophies and strategies that support growth and long-term profitability goals, including competitor activity and marketplace trends.

  • You will translate business questions into clear analytical requirements, acquire or coordinate the needed data, validate results, and communicate findings in a straightforward story.

  • You will build effective working relationships with product, state management, pricing/actuarial, underwriting, claims, and other partners to improve the quality and usefulness of analysis.

  • You will identify opportunities to improve, document, or automate recurring analysis and reporting processes.


Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements


  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.

  • Demonstrated experience with various PC software applications and Microsoft Office products and with analytical or reporting tools used to organize, analyze, validate, and present data.

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of insurance product design and underwriting concepts in area of expertise.

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of market research and marketplace trends in insurance coverage, with the ability to connect external developments to product performance.

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, metrics, practices, techniques and tools, including independently managing timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communication for assigned work.


Additional Qualifications


  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience investigating variances, validating results, and communicating recommendations.

  • Ability to work independently on routine and moderately complex assignments, prioritize competing work, and seek guidance when appropriate.

  • Experience with SQL or BigQuery, Excel, dashboard or visualization tools, PowerPoint, competitive-intelligence tools, or AI-assisted analytical workflows.

  • Familiarity with personal lines products, product monitoring, rate reviews, root-cause analysis, or cost-benefit analysis.
