Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking a part-time News Producer to assemble daily newscast items, decide story order, write teases, and time broadcasts. You will produce newscasts for multiple platforms and ensure scripts are accurate.

You will write and order news stories, approve scripts, balance news and feature content, and contribute to editorial meetings to assign content. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field, English fluency, and at least two years in news

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent education/work experience
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Minimum two years’ experience in news operations
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks
• Flexibility to work any shift

Requirements & Skills:

• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Flexibility to work any shift
