Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking a News Producer to craft daily newscast items, determine story order, write teases, and time programs for multiple platforms.

You will write and order stories, approve scripts, balance news and features, and contribute to editorial meetings. The role requires at least two years in news operations, a journalism degree or equivalent experience, and flexibility to work any shift.

Qualifications

• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and writtens
• Minimum two years’ experience in news operations
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Flexibility to work any shift
