Qualifications

  • 3+ years of wholesale broker/MGA or carrier experience, with excess & surplus lines preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance including coverages and technical procedures.
  • Competency in essential duties including sales and marketing techniques.

Responsibilities

Producer / Broker Hours :

  • 8:30-5:00 Local Time

Location : Remote or hybrid, depending on your area

Compensation : $50,000 - $150,000

The Role :

In this role, you will engage directly with our primary customer, the independent Property and Casualty Retail Agent.

You will act as a representative for our contract or brokerage carriers, responsible for soliciting, underwriting, marketing, and securing coverage within the excess and surplus lines marketplace.

Effective relationship-building skills are crucial for collaborating with our partners and cultivating a profitable book of business.

Responsibilities include :

  • Develop a network of relationships with retail insurance agents, soliciting new business through sales and marketing techniques.
  • Build relationships with our in-house binding and brokerage markets.
  • Assess accounts creatively and negotiate terms.
  • Handle accounts throughout their lifecycle, including administrative workflows with support teams to ensure prompt responses to service issues.
  • Demonstrate a professional, positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Travel to attend company-approved conferences, seminars, and educational activities to stay current on industry developments.

What We Are Looking For :

To perform this job successfully, candidates must demonstrate competency in essential duties, including:

  • At least 3 years of wholesale broker / MGA or carrier experience, with excess & surplus lines preferred.
  • A sales-driven, personable attitude with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and team-oriented.

Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance, including:

  • Coverages, rating, terminology, and technical procedures.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :

  • P&C License required.
  • E&S License preferred but not required.

Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Reader, and other Windows applications, with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
