Story Co. seeks an experienced Producer to lead a range of productions from brand films to fast-paced shoots. You will stretch small budgets, navigate complex productions, and deliver exceptional results across markets.
You thrive under pressure, manage timelines, and build strong talent and vendor relationships while protecting the creative vision. This role is based in the SF Bay Area and may require relocation.
We’re bringing together exceptional creative talent to tell the stories of people shaping the future. Work alongside people who raise your standards, champion your ideas, and give you room to do the best work of your career.
Story inspires science. Science makes story real.
We're looking for a Producer who knows how to make the impossible happen.
Someone who's relentless, resourceful, and doesn't take no for an answer. You know how to stretch a small budget into something extraordinary, navigate complex productions, and find creative solutions when the obvious ones don't work.
At Story, you'll lead productions ranging from ambitious brand films and documentaries to fast-moving, scrappy shoots. One week, you might be coordinating a large-scale commercial production. The next, you're pulling together a small crew, securing a hard-to-get location, and making it all happen in 48 hours.
You thrive in both environments. You know when to bring in the big guns and when to roll up your sleeves and figure it out yourself.
You have a relentless production instinct. You don't stop at the first no. You make another call, find another contact, negotiate a better deal, or come up with an entirely different approach.
You're scrappy without sacrificing quality. You can produce a beautiful film with a five-person crew and a shoestring budget, then turn around and manage a large-scale production with the same confidence.
You care about the work. You're not just checking boxes and managing logistics. You have taste, creative instincts, and genuine pride in what ends up on screen.
You take ownership. You anticipate problems before they happen. You don't need to be chased for updates, and you don't pass problems off to someone else. You see things through.
You make everyone around you better. Directors trust you, crews want to work with you, and clients feel confident because you're running the show.
The base salary range for this role is $125,000 – $150,000. Your final offer will depend on your experience, skills and level.
Compensation Range: $125K - $150K
