Job summary

TAIT is seeking a Producer to lead complex live entertainment projects from concept through delivery, overseeing budgets, scope, schedules and team performance. This role requires strong client management, strategic input, and coordination across internal disciplines and subcontractors.

The successful candidate will manage IP-related requirements, communicate with senior leadership, and maintain a high level of professionalism under pressure while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience at this level of responsibility.
  • Minimum 5 years of customer management experience.
  • Experience in LBE and Themed Entertainment.
  • Experience supporting production solutions (global customer-service).
  • Experience working with budgets of $500k or greater.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project scope, budget, and schedule for projects; ensure delivery aligns with design intent and production feasibility.
  • Provide regular project updates and elevate issues to leadership when necessary.
  • Act as the trusted partner and main point of contact for clients; guide project execution.
  • Identify risks, mitigation strategies, and elevate issues as needed.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams across internal disciplines, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with IP ownership, confidentiality and contractual terms. Implement cross-functional collaboration.

Position Purpose

The Producer is a strong, skilled project manager, team leader, customer relationship manager and creative driver, with experience in LBE and themed entertainment, and the ability to oversee budgets, scope, schedules, and team performance. They can independently manage projects of medium to large size, leading and/or supporting teams to successful delivery. As project lead, the Producer is both responsible and accountable for all aspects of the project through all project phases. The Producer acts as a team player, working to both support senior level staff, as well as oversees junior staff while applying a keen eye and intuitive nature to each project’s individual development. The Producer is responsible for clearly defining the lines of responsibility and that there’s adequate coordination between internal disciplines, sub-contractors, customers and other key stakeholders. Identify and mitigate any gaps or overlaps. Ensure compliance with the commercial aspects of the project as well as its creative goals, design intent, constructability and production elements of the project. Regularly informs and advises Sr. Leadership of project status, knowing to elevate issues early and with recommended solutions. Is responsible for the relationship with IP holders, ensuring conformance with any and all Intellectual Properties requirements. This role must have the resilience and fortitude to lead difficult conversations with clients while maintaining a positive relationship. They are trusted to protect the company's creative and financial well-being. Be intimately familiar with a customer’s business goals and creative objectives for the project to help ensure that the project team’s efforts will achieve those goals. Strategic thinking is required throughout the life of the project on behalf of the company and the customer.

Essential Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Project Management
  • Develop and manage project scope, budget, and schedule for projects; ensure delivery aligns with design intent and production feasibility
  • Support in strategic areas acting as a contributor to the decision-making process, development and execution of a specified elements on projects, at times this position may be paired with another Project Lead
  • Provide regular project updates and elevate issues to leadership when necessary

Client Management

  • Support the relationship with IP holders, becoming very knowledgeable of the clients’ brand and IP, ensuring conformance with all Intellectual Property Requirements /Guidelines
  • Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and elevate issues as needed
  • Resolves client issues through strategic negotiation and transparent dialogue, consistently achieving high satisfaction and repeat business
  • Proactively identify and cultivate new clients and revenue opportunities
Team Management
  • Works as part of a core team and lead with confidence
  • Supervise project teams and coordinate workflows across internal disciplines, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Clearly defines the lines of responsibility and ensures coordinator between internal disciplines, sub-contractors, clients and other key stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate any gaps or overlap in roles & tasks
  • Reaches out to peers and cooperates with supervisors to establish an overall collaborative working relationship

People Management
  • No direct reports.
Experience - Knowledge and Skills
  • Led LBE/Themed Entertainment creative efforts from concept to delivery
  • Knowledge of project processes, including, scopes, schedules, budgets, and vendor management
  • Knowledge of design management, work planning, budgeting, scheduling, bid package preparation and variety of vendors
  • Knowledge of industry terminology and design project phases
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to represent both project and company
  • Collaborative, trustworthy team player with a positive, solution-oriented attitude and resilience under pressure
  • High level of professionalism and leadership presence; able to mentor junior staff and foster cross-functional collaboration
  • Solid aesthetic sensibility and storytelling skills, supporting creative communication across disciplines
  • Ability to develop familiarity with client brands and intellectual property, ensuring alignment with creative and business objectives
  • Working knowledge of common contracting terms – IP ownership, Indemnity, confidentiality
  • Working knowledge of corporate and project financial mechanisms – EBITA, margin, revenue recognition
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically, Word, Excel and Keynote and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with, or willingness to learn communications and project management tools, such as:
    • Project Management tools (Slack, Box, Airtable, Concur, Asana, Sharepoint and Google Docs)
    • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Budget management and analysis (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
    • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (e.g. Epicor, SAP)
    • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours (nights & weekends) as required
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of previous experience at this level of responsibility
  • Minimum 5 years of customer management
  • Experience working within LBE and Themed Entertainment
  • Experience in successfully supporting production solutions (preferably in a global customer-service organization)
  • Experience working with budgets ranging from $500k or greater
