Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Produce Department, ensuring efficient and organized department performance.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels while minimizing waste and maintaining product freshness.
  • Ensure high standards of product quality, presentation, freshness, and overall department appearance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond professionally to customer questions, concerns, and requests.
  • Review incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality
  • Utilize weekly buying guide to determine sourcing
  • Train, develop, motivate, and provide direction to department employees.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of produce products, including product quality, handling, storage, and merchandising.
  • Monitor department performance and ensure company standards and procedures are consistently followed.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining productivity and attention to detail.
  • Additional experience and knowledge of floral operations is preferred.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Produce Team Leader to join our produce management team. The Produce Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Produce and Floral Department while ensuring exceptional customer service, high product quality, proper inventory levels, and efficient department operations. This position plays an important role in supporting the success of the department through effective leadership, employee development, product knowledge, and a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50lb and move products and materials regularly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a multi-temperature environment, including refrigerated and non-refrigerated areas.
