Job summary

You will assist the department manager in achieving sales goals while upholding quality standards and core values of respect, integrity, and safety. You will engage with customers to answer questions, promote products, prepare and stock merchandise, and ensure accurate labeling and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, label and inventory merchandise.
• Review/inspect products for quality and freshness; take corrective action.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers with temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
• Report all safety risks or illegal activity to store management.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts calmly.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
