Job summary

Kroger Co. is hiring to deliver outstanding customer experiences in a store environment in Troy, MI. You will support the department manager, assist customers, promote brands, and maintain a safe, clean space while ensuring products are attractive and well-stocked.

Responsibilities include helping with produce platters, informing customers of specials, stocking, labeling, and inventorying merchandise, and upholding safety and quality standards across the department.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Current food handlers permit once employed.

• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Ensure temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and logs kept.
• Support safety programs and identify unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report needs for repair.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
• Report safety issues and illegal activity to store management.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflict constructively.
• Maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
