Job summary

H Mart is seeking a Produce Procurement Specialist to source high-quality produce at competitive prices, manage inventory, and ensure timely product delivery. The role emphasizes strong analytical ability and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to optimize purchasing operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing, quality checks, and working in refrigerated environments, with a focus on efficiency and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred in Agriculture Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to interact with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Create a purchase order and a sales order, and follow up until the product is received.
• Source at the lowest price while maintaining quality standards.
• Check the quality and quantity of incoming products.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff and suppliers on delivery issues, back-orders, and returns.
• Manage inventories in refrigerated storage.
• Assist with new item forms and seasonal project templates.
• Analyze purchases and sales data.
• Perform administrative tasks for the Produce department.
• Visit stores to monitor quality and sales status of produce.
