Job summary

Food Lion in Morganton, NC is seeking a Produce Associate to provide quality customer service in the Produce Department and help maximize sales while minimizing shrink through standard practices.

You will handle ordering, receiving, preparation and displaying of merchandise, unload trucks, and adhere to Food Lion policies, safety rules and dress code. Training modules (CBT) and ongoing duties are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per guidelines.
• Unload trucks for the Produce Department.
• Use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies and standard practice.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report all accidents per established procedures to the Manager on Duty.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge; maintain neat appearance.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
