Job summary

Food Lion in Boone, NC is seeking a Produce/Perishable Associate to deliver fast, friendly service and maintain fresh product displays. You will support ordering, receiving, preparation and merchandising while upholding Food Lion policies and safety standards.

You will unload trucks, help customers, and work with the Produce team to minimize shrink and ensure a clean, organized department. Prior retail experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service in Produce.
• Unload trucks for the Produce Department.
• Maintain standards per the standard practice manual and policies.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying merchandise.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge on duty.
• Complete CBT and Training Aid courses.
• Work with the Produce team to minimize shrink.
