Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the following functions, in addition to other duties as assigned:

1. Keep the produce department well-stocked and appealing to meet customer demands. Greet customers with a smile, answer inquiries, handle special requests like fruit baskets, and resolve concerns politely and promptly.
2. Unpack merchandise, clean and trim produce, stock the area, rotate stock for freshness, ensure proper pricing and signage, and maintain the salad bar and cut produce.
3. Assist in creating attractive displays, complete product logs, and handle spoiled, damaged, or discontinued items according to policy.
4. Maintain sanitation standards by following cleaning schedules to ensure a clean and health-compliant work environment.
5. Help minimize shrinkage by reporting shortages or overages.
6. Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, including operating equipment like power jacks if trained (training provided).
7. Assist with related duties such as baling cardboard, if trained (training provided).
8. Cooperate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth department operations and continually improve performance.
9. Utilize all provided PPE, including gloves, safety cutters, and footwear.
10. Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.
