Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Produce Inspector II to perform daily inspections of all incoming deliveries and current inventory to ensure quality per established specifications. The role drives customer satisfaction and minimizes returns while working within PACA-compliant processes.

The position is union-based with starting pay fixed at $24.86/hour and progression per the CBA. Early morning shift, Sunday through Thursday, 4:30 am to 1 pm, in Portland, OR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Min 2 years experience in produce or other perishable receiving and inspection required.
• Working knowledge of USDA Specs, Grades and Standards required; PACA laws knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming deliveries and in-inventory produce to ensure US Foods specs.
• Make accept/reject decisions per PACA-compliant procedures.
• Record inspections and coordinate with warehouse management on safety issues.
