Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to inspect and evaluate produce quality at the distributor facility and ensure adherence to company standards. The role reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and focuses on produce expertise.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with travel to assigned territory as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality results by following and enforcing standards.
• Inspect all produce entering the facility.
• Monitor coolers to ensure proper handling and rotation.
• Ensure produce is shipped timely to stores to maintain freshness.
• Communicate concerns to QA Manager for corrective action.
• Provide Produce Category team with updates on quality levels.
• Ability to refuse non-conforming produce at the distributor.
• Monitor shipping temperatures to ensure freshness upon arrival.
• Authority to refuse product not meeting standards.
• Interpret QA standards and enforce them consistently.
• Act as company representative within distributor facility.
