Provide leadership support and direction during primetime hours (3p-7p M-F; 11a-7p Sat/Sun) to drive sales and enhance the customer experience. Partner with the store leader and department leader to develop a high-performance culture where associates are aligned to the business strategy and receive the knowledge and training needed to deliver a consistently great experience for Every Customer, Every Time. Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)

Desired Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Any produce or retail experience
  • Any management experience
  • Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)

Responsibilities include:

  • Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude; communicate company, department, and job-specific information to associates
  • Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet or exceed targets through teamwork
  • Ensure timely order fulfillment, work backstock, rotate product, and replenish throughout the day
  • Train and develop associates on their performance and participate in performance appraisals
  • Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions and making suggestions
  • Inform customers of produce specials and offer samples to discover new items
  • Ensure merchandising standards are followed; review/inspect product quality and freshness
  • Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management
  • Inform and educate associates about current and upcoming promotions
  • Ensure in-stock behaviors are executed daily
  • Implement promotional plans for the department
  • Maintain product freshness and display cleanliness; ensure backroom and prep areas are clean and organized
  • Plan and organize inventory, monitor conditions, train staff on inventory management and CAO
  • Maintain proper temperatures and logs in cases and coolers
  • Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or incidents
  • Report safety risks, illegal activities, or incidents like theft or fraud
  • Adhere to all laws and company guidelines
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
